Marketing Your Blog to Be Successful

We all know that marketing your blog to be successful takes time and perseverance. Helping others to market thier blog to get noticed in the blogosphere takes only a few minutes of your time.

I would like to introduce a young man named Grant, he authors the Million Dollar Project and is asking for others to help him raise money for children in Africa and to start a business. The business he would like to start is to teach entrepreneurial skills to small businesses in South Africa in order for them to become sustainable and income producing.

I have felt inspired to write a post about his journey to a million dollars to help him get the traffic he will need to accomplish this goal. Others may want to contribute to him in another way. You can read the 5 ways to help the Million Dollar Project he has outlined here is this link.

How would you like to contribute to making Grant's mission successful in raising his goal of a million dollars? Help Grant in anyway you can and if you link to this post in your post about the Million Dollar Project, I will add your website or blog URL to the list you see below. Networking together can actually make this happen for Grant and I feel so happy to know I was a part of his Million Dollar Project.

Contributors to the Million Dollar Project
  1. Kate Fowler $20.00 RV Lifestyle Library
  2. Patricia Ogilvie $20.00 Sales Letter
  3. Jim Abbey $10.00
  4. Iris Suemenicht $55.55 Sound of My Heart

Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of mouth marketing has and always will be a most effective form of advertising.

How can you benefit from word-of-mouth marketing for your blog is very simple, talk about others blogs and what you like about them. Maybe it's informative or just very interesting to you, talk about it and share it with others! Participate in a Shout Out, this is a great way of sharing with others what someones blog has meant to you...

This is my shout out for Cre8buzz, antman as he calls himself is creating a buzz in the blogosphere bringing to the forefront other unique or unknown blogs of value. You can read what he has to say, in fact here are just a couple snipets from his comments that make great sense as to why you and I should be doing a Shout Out about others.

  • The Law of giving. Simply put, if you want to get people talking, you should get talking too. By SoHo Cheerleader
  • Generating buzz is what it is all about! By cctech
You are probably wondering who or what is Cre8buzz? He will tell you, "The Greatest New Site Ever", I happen to agree with him. Do you hear someone buzzing about you today? If not, maybe you should be doing your part in participating in a Shout Out for someone you think is great, who knows you may be the highlight of antman's next Shout Out. Can't you just hear the buzz in the blogosphere now? That's probably antman at work doing another one of his Shout out's, maybe it's even about you! :)

MyBlogLog Branded Community as my Social Media Network

Branding MyBlogLog as one of my social media networks has given me the statistical information about

  • Where my readers came from
  • What my readers viewed
  • What readers clicked
All this for free, you can also see more statistical information if you have a paid membership.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with MyBlogLog, it is a rapidly growing community of other bloggers that you can interact with by joining their community and also adding them as a contact to your own community.... You will be able to communicate with other bloggers publicly or privately. I personally have found many helpful and informative sites here and I'm sure you will also. You can read what Ian at Blog Bullet has to say in his review of MyBlogLog.

Kevin from Theory.Isthereason wrote a great post explaining all about Building Your Blog's Community Using MyBlogLog. I really liked what David Temple, one of my SEO contacts will tell you, If you ain't on MyBlogLog you ain't anywhere.

If you are new to blogging or just hearing about MyBlogLog, take some time to look over the different communities or contacts I have right here on my blog. This will give you an idea of where to start building your community. Ian at Blog Bullet also wrote this tutorial l think you will find helpful in getting started. I Just Joined MyBlogLog-Now What well, Ian will walk you through step-by-step.

When you click on their avatar or website, you will be taken to blogs they author. Here you will see in the right hand corner Tools and below that an icon to Add them as a contact or Join their community. They will receive a message letting them know you have added them as a contact or joined their community and vise-versa you will receive messages as others join your community and add you as a contact. I am forewarning you this may become addictive! :)

After reading Link Building as Relationship Building you will understand why I want to build relationships with all my readers and I will only promote sites to you that I think are offering value to others in the blogosphere. I could go on and on about all my wonderful MBL contacts but it's your turn to create your own blogging community.
