You have now made the switch over to the New Version of Blogger and you are probably wondering why you don't see the new features blogger has to offer using the Layout and Add Page Elements. That is because you will now need to upgrade your template to the Customize Design to implement these wonderful new blogger features.
Before choosing to use the Customized Design template, you should backup all your links, photos and add ons, otherwise you'll find that you have lost some or all after you switch templates. I know, panic strikes and you forgot to backup your links, photos and all those add ons. If this happened to you, just remember you can always Revert back to Classic Template and they will all magically reappear for you. This time don't forget to back them up and then you can revert back to Customize Design and get on with your blog putting all the links, photos and add ons into your new template.
Hope this tip saves you lots of time and aggrevation if this has happened to you.

What if I want the features, but I still want to be able to edit my template as before? I hate those page elements. :( I set up a blog for a friend and they are much harder to work with. I do want the label feature, however. I have the old Delicious hack and use their label widget, but that is tiresome and I'm anxious to move to the new blogger labels... yet afraid to loose the ease of use with my template. I paid a designer to make my template and hate to loose all that work - and not be able to work with it like I want.
Sprittibee,
Thanks for your comment and questions. Sorry, you can't have the new features the New Version of Blogger has to offer and the ease of the Classic template.
