Create more Page Elements on your Layout for Header or Footer

  • Go to the dashboard
  • Click on blog Layout
  • Click on Edit HTML below Layout
  • Scroll down almost to the bottom of template
  • Look for these two areas (header-wrapper and main-wrapper)
  • When you see the showaddelement, all you need to do is change the NO to a YES
  • Save Changes and you will have more Page Elements on the Header/Footer of your blog
This method is great for adding a Google AdSense Banner in the Header/Footer area or for adding a sticky post at the top or bottom of your blog.

Google AdSense Between Post

I recently received a comment from another blogger, Kim Ayres at Ramblings Of The Bearded One. He wasn't able to locate the code in his template to implement the Google Ads at the Bottom of Posts, however he did come up with a new area and that is to place Google AdSense between posts after the comments. Thanks to Kim for sharing this information with me, I decided to pass it along to you.

It's always fun to experiment with the placement of Google Ads and also a good idea to change things around every once in awhile to change the look of your site and find the best location for your CTR (Click Through Rate).

Look for this code in your template posted below:

Customize Format and Colors for Google AdSense

  • Login to your Google AdSense Account
  • Click on the AdSense Setup tab.
  • Choose AdSense for content - Ad unit or Link unit
  • Click on continue at the bottom of page after each selection
  • Choose your desired format being horizontal, vertical or square
  • Choose your colors from one of the pre-designed palettes or create your own color palette.
You will see a sample of the ad to your left, all you do is click on the color of border, title, background, text or URL to change the color. When any of these are clicked on a popup palette of colors will appear, click on the desired color for each one to customize the ad to fit your sites color scheme . The sample ad on the left will change each time you choose a different color and this will help you to see what your future ad will look like. This is a view of the sample palette that will pop up when you click on the colors.

  • Setup channels for each ad unit so you can experiment with the performance and revenue from each unit.
  • Copy and Paste your AdSense code into Page Elements or within your blogs posts (see related articles). Relevant ads should appear on your site within 48 hours.

Wrap Text Around Google's AdSense

Wrapping text around Google's AdSense is a nice way to show ads that blend with your content and appear to be part of your post or you could show them in high contrast colors to be more noticable. The ads will be relevant to what you are writing about and this is a great way to provide your readers with more information pertaining to their Google search or just surfing the net. For full post with step-by-step instructions, continue reading.

You can experiment with many different formats and see what works best for you. I have chosen a 250x250 ad format to wrap text around my Google ad as found here in this example on my Funniest Stories blog. Hey, by the way don't forget to send me your "real life funniest story" when we're finished here so I can add it to my blog, that would be much appreciated!

Now let's get back to learning how you're going to wrap text around your Google ads by following this example of code below. Notice the table align=left align=right at the beginning of the Google ad (you can always change the left and right position depending on which side of your post you want the ad to be located). Now go to the bottom and notice the closing tag of td tr table. I can't put this html code in my post so you will need to type this extra code at the beginning and end of your Google AdSense code. Better yet you can go to the Page Source of Funniest Stories and look for my Google AdSense code, then copy and paste the needed code to add at the beginning and end of your AdSense code.

Please review a previous post explaing the Simplest Way to Place AdSense Within Your Post. You will need to make a few changes for putting Google ads within the New Version of Blogger template.

Placing Google Ads at Bottom of Post

Placing Google Ads at the bottom of your post is very simple to do following these step-by-step instructions for the New Version of Blogger Customized Design Template.

  • Go to Dashboard
  • Click on Blog Layout
  • Click on Edit HTML
  • Check the Expand Widget Template box
  • Scroll down your template about 1/2 the way and look for:
Find this area in your template and be ready to copy and paste your Google AdSense code below it.

Paste Google Adsense Code here

Now lets get the AdSense code and make a few changes. I know you're going to say that's against Google's TOS, however, these are acceptable changes because we are not altering the AdSense code in anyway.
  • Open new browser window
  • Go to your Google AdSense account
  • Click on AdSense for Content
  • Choose Ad Unit
  • Choose Format and Colors
  • Add Channel

Look for the two brackets in red < and > at the top and bottom section of Google's AdSense code shown below. Replace these brackets to look like this &lt;!-- and //--&gt;

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
google_ad_client = "pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_ad_channel = "";
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

That's it and now you're ready to Copy and Paste the AdSense code into your template in the specified area mentioned above. Save Template. Done!

Increase Your Revenue and Build Community

My intentions are to Increase Revenue and Build Community for all of you that have signed up for a Google AdSense Account through the referral on my site. I would be honored to help you earn your first $5.00 and even $100.00 with Google's AdSense within your first 180 days. It's not that difficult and will be a fun challenge for all of us.

I'm always delighted to see a new sign-up in my stats for a referral to a Google AdSense Account. If you don't already have one, go to the sidebar and click on "Generate revenue from your website. Google AdSense." and open your free Google AdSense Account. I would like to keep in contact with you and will do my best to help you learn techniques to start earning money with your blog. You are probably wondering why I would want to help you learn how to earn money using Google's AdSense, it all boils down to the following statement.

See You At The Top by Zig Ziglar has a philosophy that I believe in, "You can get everything in life you want, if you help enough other people get what they want. That is my intention here in helping others to earn revenue using Google's AdSense and Build Community with other new bloggers.

New Google AdSense Policy states:

* AdSense:

  • When a publisher who signed up for Google AdSense through your referral first earns $5 within 180 days of sign-up, you will be credited with $5.
  • When that same publisher earns $100 within 180 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, you will be credited with an additional $250.
  • If in any 180-day period you refer 25 publishers who each earn more than $100 within 180 days of their respective sign-ups and are all eligible for payout, you will be awarded a $2,000 bonus (bonus payouts are limited to 1 per year).

Earn Extra Money Blogging

The internet has become an important part in our lives where we can receive free information about any topic or subject. Do you have information that you would like to share with the blogosphere that creates value? If so, you could and should be earning extra money for doing so.

I'm not talking about getting rich quick schemes, I'm taking about simply enhancing your site to generate income with the tools that Google has provided us with.

  • Adsense for content
  • Adsense for search
  • Adsense for referrals
Plain and simple, Google AdSense is just an advertising medium in which you can earn extra money with your blog or website. Google AdSense will be using your site as a means of getting their product or services advertised and in return will give you a commission. They provide your site with targeted ads that are relevant to your sites content.

If you don't already have a Google AdSense Account, then you will need to open one. You can do that by going to the sidebar and click on the link "Generate revenue from your website. Google AdSense".

Setting up a Google AdSense Account is very simple..........complete and submit your application. Check for an email from Google to verify your email address. Once you verify your email address, Google will review your application and follow up with you via email within 2-3 days (usually sooner). If they approve your application, you'll be able to login to your Google AdSense Account and get started.
